The DOs and DON'Ts of a Campfire Gathering

DO bring Hot dogs. Buns. Graham Crackers. Mallows. Strawberries. Reese's. Startbursts. These are the requirements for an excellent bonfire that runs amongst the sizes of small.

DON'T become jealous of the steaks that the guys made. Be content with your three hot dogs.

DO bring men who have muscle and can drag a tree through the woodsen. This tree will be used as a bench for many generations to come.

DON'T forget to bring your roasting sticks. If you do, you will be required to use the wire hangers found in Mandy's trunk. If those are all in use, you must go along the river banks and find yourself a really green stick that smells of incense when placed over heat.

DO remember to go rock jumping, even when rocks are spaced too far apart. It's a necessary requirement in order to flag fellow group members down without sitting in the middle of the road trying to gain their attention...or you could sit in the middle of the road.

DON'T forget to wear spark resistant clothing. If you do forget, do as Mary does, and avoid the spark at all costs. This means sacrificing your body off a log. Tip off log, straight onto back, legs erect in the air. At least you will not burn.

DO eat a Reese's s'more. *Warning: You will never go back to your old ways of a classic s'more*

DO remember to bring a levi blanket for star-gazing after everyone departs.

DO shake off Lightning McQueen blanket after laying in open field. Otherwise you will wake up one morning, two days from this gathering, and find a creepy crawly worm in your sheets...*cringe.* This will cause you to rise to alarm and start researching bed bugs via google. You will realize that this was a false alarm, and will forever know how to recognize a bed bug if you were ever to come across one.

DO blog about the occassion so that you will forever remember that you were once an adventurous college student.

Ryan, Mallory, Mary, Kaitlin, and Jenessa

Fantastic! You are always so creative. :) I love the do's and don'ts... so basically the whole thing. :) I'm sorry about the bug! I didn't hear this story!!! I would scream bloody murder, pretty much. :) I loved the incense part too... totally true. :)
I was extremely tempted to write something silly about pulling a Phil in my blog, but I decided against it... it was hilarious between the two of us... Three of us... kind of... :) Much love!
